Abstract
A complex network of components makes up the electric power system, which generates and distributes electricity to users. One of the key components of power system analysis is the requirement for a stable and efficient electric grid. A power system grid cannot be designed without being mindful of the risks and consequences the system may experience under normal and abnormal conditions. Faults inside the system are always likely to occur due to system variations, network problems, as well as natural catastrophes. The power system analysis was established to reduce the effect of such occurrences. When it comes to power system planning, equipment selection, and reliability evaluations, power system analysis is a crucial factor to take into account. A power system's main purpose is to deliver energy to users safely. Therefore, a malfunction in the system would disrupt that supply and perhaps put lives at risk. Hence, this project helps to analyze the different faults that are likely to occur in a national grid by performing the same fault analysis on a 14-bus system.
