- ItemOpen AccessA Web Service Based on API from where People can get blood in emergency situation(North South University, 2022-01-01) Ashfi Mehenaz; Sajid Ul Alam; Md Meraj Hasan; Dr. Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Khan; 1812002042; 1812347042; 1812577042Our main purpose of this project is to help the people . Basically our project is health oriented and random people would be benefited using this web service named Blood Bank. Before implementing this idea we went through various types of research to check if there were any sort of web service available similar to our idea and we found some web service but we want to implement it in a different pattern so that general people can use it without facing any problem. Suppose, if there is any emergency and anyone needs a necessary group of blood then they can get the necessary information regarding the blood donor and according to their requirement’s they can contact each other through this web service. In the frontend part of our web service we are using html, css, javascript. In the backend part we are using Django. For the documentation and testing we are using Swagger. We are using sqlite for our database and for API’s we are implementing in Restful API. Through the building process of this website, we have to undergo different types of research to make our system even more helpful and easier to access for the general people. We faced several difficulties when we started to implement this because some things were not possible as we intended then tried different ways to solve those problems following comparatively easy procedures. And finally, we are able to make this web service as we desire.
- ItemOpen AccessGenerate A Textual Description Based on An Image(North South University, 2022) Name: Shah Alvi Hossain; Md. Tahmidur Rahman; Dr. Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Khan; 1721427042; 1721370042The project goal is to get the computer to detect what was going on in the image and provide a general description. Our approach is to build a dataset of images with in-depth descriptions to train an appropriate model to tell what objects are in the picture and make their relations relevant. The dataset is based on images from the web, where we collect the images and get a near accurate description. We collected the images and descriptions from authentic news websites and stored them on google sheets and GitHub. Grammar checking tools were used to test the description's grammar and generate better words. We used the encoderdecoder system to encode the image with a pre-trained Convolutional Neural Network (VGG16) in a hidden state. It would then use an LSTM to decode this concealed state and generate a caption.
- ItemOpen AccessMulti-Platform (Web & Android) Based Event Solutions(North South University, 2020-04-30) Arif Ahmed Nowfel; Md Sadman Ahmed; Shafin Ahmed; Dr. Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Khan; 1620076042; 1620674042; 1621056042This report presents the attributes of an efficient platform which is a combination of both website and mobile application including both android and iOS apps which can perform a major role in the field of every kinds of events happening and is going to happen in Bangladesh. This platform offers organizers to create event in the platform and promote them via it’s web and mobile application. On the other hand, customers/audience can also register to out platform to search for their desired events and they can also follow specific organizer or organizers to get update regarding their events in a priority basis. This platform is one of the first dedicated platform of its kind in our country. Gradual development will make this platform more user friendly with many functions which will make this one both organizers and visitors first choice.
- ItemOpen AccessReconstructing Better Audio by Using Spetial Microphone(North South University, 2019-08-31) Md Mantasarul Elahi; Dr. Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Khan; 1512518042This article describes the design and implementation of a program that is capable of taking audio from multiple sources and using two filters, it will create the best possible version of the audio that is possible. Firstly, after taking in audio from multiple audio recording sources, it will firstly go through ’Unwanted Noise Reduction Filter’ and its product will be a noise reduced output. After going through the first filter, the audio files will be filtered once again using ‘Voice Enhancement Filter’ and will produce an enhanced output. Lastly, all the audio files will be combined using ‘Audio Merging Process’ to produce the final output of the best possible version of the audio that has been recorded
- ItemOpen AccessSenior Design Project 499A & 499B Smart Hydroponic System(North South University, 2022-01-01) Baitullah Nur Azam Hridoy; Hasnain Maruf Rafi; Ibn Ettihad; Tamanna Jahan Tonny; Dr. Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Khan; 1911474043; 1611259642; 1831569643; 1721640042Hydroponic can be defined as growing plants in water containing nutrients. Examples of this type of hydroponic systems includes NFT (nutrient film technique) systems and deep-water float systems where plant roots are set in nutrient solutions. With this definition growing plants in soilless media (potting soil) or other types of aggregate media such as sand, gravel, and coconut coil are considered hydroponic systems. Here, we are using hydroponics to mean growing plants without soil. Essential nutrients can be broadly categorized as macronutrients and micronutrients. Macronutrients and micronutrients are both essential for plant growth and development. Macronutrients include carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sulfur, calcium, and magnesium. Micronutrients include iron, manganese, zinc, boron, molybdenum, chlorine, copper, and nickel. The difference between macro- and micronutrients is the amount required by plants. Macronutrients are required in higher amounts than micronutrients. Page 4
- ItemOpen AccessSenior Design Project Facial Recognition Using Machine Learning(North South University, 2022) Tabassum Mahbub Liya; Mofijul Alam Ovi; Dr. Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Khan; 1812474042; 1821202042Nowadays facial recognition strategy is a widely used method for authentication in the fast-growing digital world. Due to the advancement of machine learning algorithms, facial recognition has become the most effective, trusted, and more popular than fingerprint or any other authentication method. It is now also widely used for video surveillance or detecting any specific actions. Therefore, the industry is heavily investing more and more funds in this technology. Besides that, face recognition has a wide range of applications in fields such as intelligent security and access control, biometrics, safeguarding, verification, attendance accounting, and machine vision, among others. Face recognition has a lot of advantages over other technologies for determining a person’s personality: there is no need to physically meet the person, which is the most appropriate method for mass applications, and there is no need for specialized or expensive equipment. The difficulty of recognizing and identifying a person’s face using convolutional neural networks that process frames from a camera in real time or from a recorded video file, followed by the entry of the recognized individual into a database is discussed in this article. The Multitasking Cascade Convolutional Neural Network (MTCNN) is made up of three convolutional networks (P-Net, R-Net, and O-Net) that can surpass numerous face identification tests while preserving real-time performance. The proposed method for human face recognition was implemented as a software product, tested, and shown to have a 96.02% chance of being correct in real time.
- ItemOpen AccessSenior Design Project Tripper(North South University, 2019-08-31) Sohanur Rahman; Deepta Barua; Md Delwar Hosen; Ahmed Jawad; Soumikendu Dev; Dr. Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Khan; 1510464642; 1511056042; 1511354042; 1510980042; 1511060042We are in the era of science and technology. Today's society is different to the one that existed not so many years ago. Our society is constantly changing. The most important characteristics of our era may be the transformation, transmission and dominion of information. We live in an information society where the leading role has been given to new technologies, especially those devoted to information. Our society could not be imagined without new technologies and their role both in this society and in human life. Invention of android phones take our life to another level of technology. Now we can access to the whole world with the help of these android phones and apps.
