Abstract
A seminar titled ‘Bangladesh Liberation War 1971: Key Military Determinants of Our Success’ was held at the Syndicate Hall of North South University (NSU) in the capital on Thursday. Mahfuz Anam, editor and publisher of The Daily Star, attended the event as the chief guest, while former ambassador Major General (retd) Jamil D Ahsan Bir Protik and Major General (retd) Dr Sarwar Hossain, adjunct associate professor at NSU’s Department of History and Philosophy, were present as a discussant and keynote speaker, respectively. The session was chaired by NSU vice-chancellor Prof Atiqul Islam with NSU treasurer and vice-chancellor (acting) Prof Abdur Rob Khan also in attendance.
