- ItemOpen AccessDepartment of Civil and Environmental Engineering of NSU celebrates Civil Fest 2025(The Daily Star, 2025-03-06) The Daily StarThe Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (DCEE) of North South University (NSU) organised "Civil Fest 2025" on February 26, 2025. NSU Treasurer and Pro Vice-Chancellor (Acting) Prof. Abdur Rab Khan was present at the event. One of the main attractions of the first day was "Mechanics Mania", which saw participation from students from different universities. Another thrilling competition was "Buzzer Master", where university students were tested on their ability to think quickly. The "Battle of Brains" competition featured students from schools and colleges competing in a fun quiz. The second day of Civil Fest 2025 continued with the poster and project presentations from the previous day. he prize-giving ceremony commenced at 3:30 PM and was attended by distinguished guests including Chief Guest Prof. Dr M Shamim Z Bosunia and Guest of Honour Prof. Dr M Feroze Ahmed, along with other special guests.
- ItemOpen Accessএনএসইউতে যোগ দিলেন আন্তর্জাতিক অনুদান লেখার গবেষক(বণিক বার্তা, 2025-02-12) বণিক বার্তাযুক্তরাষ্ট্রের মিসৌরি ইউনিভার্সিটি অব সায়েন্স অ্যান্ড টেকনোলজির ইংরেজি ও কারিগরি যোগাযোগ বিভাগের অধ্যাপক ড. ক্যাথরিন নর্থকাট ঢাকা আমেরিকান দূতাবাসের আয়োজনে ফুলব্রাইট স্পেশালিস্ট হিসেবে নর্থ সাউথ ইউনিভার্সিটির (এনএসইউ) গবেষণা অফিসে যোগদান করেছেন। প্রযুক্তিগত যোগাযোগের বিশেষজ্ঞ ড. নর্থকাট এনএসইউর চার অনুষদের শিক্ষকদের জন্য গবেষণা অনুদান প্রস্তাব লেখার ওপর একাধিক কর্মশালা পরিচালনা ও পৃথক পরামর্শ দেবেন। এনএসইউর উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক আবদুল হান্নান চৌধুরী ড. নর্থকাটকে স্বাগত জানান I এনএসইউর গবেষণা অফিসের পরিচালক অধ্যাপক নরম্যান কে সোয়াজো উল্লেখ করেন যে, এ কর্মশালাগুলো শিক্ষকদের গবেষণা অনুদান প্রস্তাব লেখার দক্ষতা উন্নয়নের লক্ষ্যে ডিজাইন করা হয়েছে। বহির্মুখী গবেষণা অনুদান অর্জন এনএসইউর কৌশলগত গবেষণা পরিকল্পনার একটি অপরিহার্য অংশ।
- ItemOpen Accessনর্থ সাউথ ইউনিভার্সিটিতে ২১শে ফেব্রুয়ারী ২০২৫(যায়যায়দিন, 2025-02-23) যায়যায়দিননর্থ সাউথ ইউনিভার্সিটি (এনএসইউ) যথাযোগ্য মর্যাদায় আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস ২০২৫ পালন করেছে। ভাষা শহীদদের প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা জানাতে কেন্দ্রীয় শহীদ মিনার এবং এনএসইউ ক্যাম্পাসের শহীদ মিনারে পুষ্পার্ঘ্য অর্পণ করা হয়। দিবসের কর্মসূচি শুরু হয় এনএসইউ ক্যাম্পাসে জাতীয় পতাকা অর্ধনমিত রাখার মাধ্যমে। পরে এনএসইউর কর্মকর্তাবৃন্দ, শিক্ষকগণ, শিক্ষার্থীরা, প্রশাসনিক প্রধান এবং কর্মচারীবৃন্দ কেন্দ্রীয় শহীদ মিনারে পুষ্পস্তবক অর্পণ করেন। এনএসইউর নিজস্ব শহীদ মিনারে পুষ্পার্ঘ্য অর্পণ করেন এনএসইউ বোর্ড অব ট্রাস্টিজের চেয়ারম্যান জনাব আজিম উদ্দিন আহমেদ, কোষাধ্যক্ষ ও উপ-উপাচার্য (ভারপ্রাপ্ত) অধ্যাপক আবদুর রব খান। এ সময় এনএসইউর চারটি স্কুলের ডিন এবং বিভিন্ন বিভাগের চেয়ারম্যানগণও উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
- ItemOpen Accessএনএসইউতে ভাষা আন্দোলন বিষয়ক আলোচনা সভা অনুষ্ঠিত(বণিক বার্তা, 2025-02-22) বণিক বার্তানর্থ সাউথ ইউনিভার্সিটিতে (এনএসইউ) ‘ভাষা আন্দোলন ও বাংলাদেশের অভ্যুদয়: স্মৃতিকথা ও আত্মজীবনীর আলোকে’ শীর্ষক একটি আলোচনা সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। সম্প্রতি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মুক্তিযুদ্ধ গবেষণা কেন্দ্র এবং ইতিহাস ও দর্শন বিভাগের উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত এ অনুষ্ঠানে সভাপতিত্ব করেন উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক আবদুল হান্নান চৌধুরী। মুখ্য আলোচক ছিলেন দৈনিক যুগান্তরের সম্পাদক কবি আবদুল হাই শিকদার। সভায় প্রবন্ধ উপস্থাপন করেন এনএসইউ ইতিহাস ও দর্শন বিভাগের সহকারী অধ্যাপক ড. ছালেহ শাহরিয়ার। স্বাগত বক্তব্য দেন মানবিক ও সামাজিক বিজ্ঞান অনুষদের ডিন অধ্যাপক রিজওয়ানুল ইসলাম। অনুষ্ঠানের শেষাংশে অতিথিদের প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা জানান কোষাধ্যক্ষ ও উপ-উপাচার্য (ভারপ্রাপ্ত) অধ্যাপক আবদুর রব খান।

Experts from academia, industry, and government convened to discuss the critical role of green finance in ensuring a sustainable energy future for Bangladesh.
