Abstract
North South University's Department of Environmental Science and Management, in collaboration with the Earth Club, launched a new lecture series titled Frontiers in Environmental Thought in Dhaka. Designed to advance contemporary discourse on sustainability, environmental science, and education, the inaugural event featured a keynote address by Professor Emeritus ATM Nurul Amin titled Frontier of Environmental Education: Road Less Travelled. Drawing from decades of academic leadership, Professor Amin highlighted the evolution of environmental education and its critical role in driving sustainable development and addressing global environmental crises. The inaugural event was attended by NSU pro-vice-chancellor Professor Nasar U Ahmed and the dean of the school of humanities and social sciences Professor Dipak Kumar Mitra.
