Abstract
Javed Muneer Ahmad has been named as the chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of North South University (NSU), effective from the beginning of this month.
The appointment comes after Ahmad, along with other members, was appointed to the NSU BOT by order of the Chancellor and the Ministry of Education on August 16, 2022.
Ahmad, a founding member of NSU, has been an active member of the BOT since his appointment and brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the NSU's leadership team. During NSU's pioneering and foundational period prior to and after 1992, Ahmad played a crucial role in the formation and initial setup of the first private university in Bangladesh.
