dc.description.abstractNorth South University (NSU) organised a high-level discussion marking World Press Freedom Day 2026, titled “Measuring Media Freedom in Bangladesh: A Tripartite Framework for Resilient Information Ecosystems” at its Syndicate Hall on May 2. Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapon attended as the chief guest. The program, chaired by North South University Vice Chancellor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, was addressed by Aziz Al Kaiser, Chairman of the University's Board of Trustees, Matiur Rahman Chowdhury, President of the Newspaper Owners Association (NOAB) and Editor of Dainik Manabzamin, Dewan Hanif Mahmud, General Secretary of the Editors' Council and Editor of Dainik Banik Barta, and Susan Bhai, UNESCO Bangladesh Representative.
