    NSU hosts blood donation campaign in memory of July martyrs

    The North South University Social Services Club, in collaboration with the July Revolutionary Youth Organization and with support from Quantum Foundation, organizes a voluntary blood donation campaign on Wednesday to commemorate 'July Martyrs’ Day. The event was graced by Aziz Al Kaiser, chairman, Board of Trustees, NSU; Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor, NSU; Benajir Ahmed, Member, Board of Trustees, NSU; and Professor Abdur Rob Khan, Treasurer and Pro Vice-Chancellor, NSU.

    Southeast Bank, NSU launch co-branded Visa credit, prepaid cards

    Southeast Bank PLC and North South University have officially launched an exclusive Visa co-branded credit and prepaid card at the NSU campus in Bashundhara, Dhaka recently. The inauguration ceremony was graced by Professor Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, vice chancellor of North South University; Abidur Rahman Chowdhury, managing director (current charge) of Southeast Bank PLC; and Sabbir Ahmed, country manager, Visa – Bangladesh, Nepal & Bhutan. As part of the initiative, Southeast Bank PLC introduced co-branded credit cards for NSU faculty and staff, and co-branded prepaid cards for students.

    Touhid: South Asia, China must work together to ensure region's stability, development

    Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain says he hopes for the return of a peaceful and stable Myanmar, including the return of Rohingya refugees to Rakhine State, so that this connectivity can be established for mutual benefits. Touhid was speaking as the chief guest at an international conference titled "China-South Asia Civilization and Connectivity: History and Contemporary Issues" at North South University (NSU) in Dhaka. Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen, speakers from Yunnan, Minzu and other Universities and NSU Vice Chancellor Prof Abdul Hannan Chowdhury also spoke. Touhid hoped for the return of a peaceful and stable Myanmar including the return of Rohingya refugees to Rakhine State with rights and security so that this connectivity can be established to the mutual benefit of our people.
