- ItemOpen Accessনরওয়ের সাবেক পরিবেশ মন্ত্রীকে সম্মানসূচক অধ্যাপক পদ দিল এনএসইউ(বণিক বার্তা, 2026-02-09) বণিক বার্তানর্থ সাউথ ইউনিভার্সিটির (এনএসইউ) সেন্টার ফর ক্লাইমেট চেঞ্জ অ্যান্ড ডিজাস্টার রেজিলিয়েন্স (সিডিআর) ‘হাউ এশিয়া ইজ লিডিং দ্য গ্রীন ট্রান্সফরমেশন অ্যান্ড হাউ বাংলাদেশ ক্যান বেনিফিট’ শীর্ষক একটি সেমিনারের আয়োজন করে। রবিবার (০৮ ফেব্রুয়ারি) বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সিন্ডিকেট হলে অনুষ্ঠিত এ সেমিনারে শিক্ষক, গবেষক ও শিক্ষার্থীরা অংশ নেন। সেমিনারে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বেল্ট অ্যান্ড রোড গ্রিন ডেভেলপমেন্ট ইনিশিয়েটিভের প্রেসিডেন্ট এবং নরওয়ের সাবেক পরিবেশ ও আন্তর্জাতিক উন্নয়নমন্ত্রী এরিক সোলহেইম। অনুষ্ঠানে সভাপতিত্ব করেন এনএসইউর উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক আবদুল হান্নান চৌধুরী। এছাড়া উপ-উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক নেছার উদ্দিন আহমেদ এবং চায়না–বাংলাদেশ পার্টনারশিপ ফোরামের সেক্রেটারি জেনারেল অ্যালেক্স ওয়াং উপস্থিত ছিলেন। অনুষ্ঠানে পরিবেশ ও টেকসই উন্নয়নে অসামান্য অবদানের স্বীকৃতিস্বরূপ নর্থ সাউথ ইউনিভার্সিটি জনাব. এরিক সোলহেইমকে সম্মানসূচক অধ্যাপক পদে ভূষিত করে।
- ItemOpen AccessArchitectural exhibition begins at NSU(The Financial Express, 2026-08-29) The Financial ExpressThe Department of Architecture at North South University (NSU) has organised its 20th Architectural Exhibition, titled 'First Step Towards Architecture', which began on August 27. The week-long exhibition will remain open to visitors at the NSU Exhibition Hall until September 3, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. State Minister for Road Transport and Bridges Habibur Rashid inaugurated the exhibition as the chief guest while Prof Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of North South University, presided over the event. Benajir Ahmed, Member and former chairman of the NSU Board of Trustees, Prof Nasar U. Ahmed, Pro-Vice Chancellor of NSU, and Architect Shahriar Iqbal Raj, Chairman of the Department of Architecture, were present as the guest of honour.

Chaired by NSU vice-chancellor Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, state minister for road transport and bridges Habibur Rashid inaugurated the exhibition as the chief guest, alongside guest of honour Benajir Ahmed, member and former chairman of the NSU board of trustees. NSU pro-vice-chancellor Professor Nasar U Ahmed and Department of Architecture chairman Shahriar Iqbal Raj also addressed the gathering.
- ItemOpen Accessএনএসইউর অধ্যাপক মামুন মোল্লা বাংলাদেশ বিজ্ঞান একাডেমির ফেলো নির্বাচিত(দৈনিক ইত্তেফাক, 2026-08-14) দৈনিক ইত্তেফাকগণিত, কম্পিউটেশনাল ফ্লুইড ডায়নামিকস ও হাই-পারফরম্যান্স কম্পিউটিং গবেষণায় অবদানের স্বীকৃতিস্বরূপ বাংলাদেশ বিজ্ঞান একাডেমির (বিএএস) ফেলো নির্বাচিত হয়েছেন নর্থ সাউথ ইউনিভার্সিটির (এনএসইউ) গণিত ও পদার্থবিজ্ঞান বিভাগের চেয়ারম্যান অধ্যাপক ড. মো. মামুন মোল্লা। অধ্যাপক মামুন মোল্লা ২০১১ সালের সেপ্টেম্বরে এনএসইউতে যোগ দেন। তিনি এনএসইউর স্কুল অব ইঞ্জিনিয়ারিং অ্যান্ড ফিজিক্যাল সায়েন্সেসের (এসইপিএস) রিসার্চ কো-অর্ডিনেটর হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করেছেন। পাশাপাশি বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কম্পিউটেশনাল ফ্লুইড ডায়নামিকস (সিএফডি) ও হাই-পারফরম্যান্স কম্পিউটিং (এইচপিসি) গবেষণা দলের নেতৃত্ব দিচ্ছেন। ২০১৯ সালে বাংলাদেশ বিজ্ঞান একাডেমির অ্যাসোসিয়েট ফেলো নির্বাচিত হন অধ্যাপক মামুন মোল্লা।
