Confucius Institute at North South University

North South University is a pioneer among the universities of South Asian countries to establish a Confucius Institute in the region. Backed by Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban), North South University (NSU) signed an agreement with Yunnan University (YNU) to establish Confucius Institute at NSU (CI at NSU).

In view of the growing importance of the People’s Republic of China in all areas of world politics and world trade and commerce, it has become imperative that we know more about Chinese culture and civilization. It is known that language is the most important tool of communication for mankind and also the key carrier of cultures. The dissemination of language and the exchange of cultures enhances understanding and friendship among countries.
