- ItemOpen AccessNSU welcomes freshers, celebrates Orientation Summer 2024(The Daily Observer, 2024-07-07) The Daily ObserverUniversity (NSU) on Saturday celebrated the Orientation Summer 2024 in a befitting manner. Through the colourful event, the university authorities welcomed freshers and acquainted them with the universitys culture and academic approach. In the orientation ceremony, 18 meritorious students were awarded full scholarships for their outstanding performance in the undergraduate (honours) admission test. Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, Editor of The Daily Observer, addressed the function as chief guest with NSU Treasurer and also Pro Vice-Chancellor (In-Charge) Prof Abdur Rob Khan in the chair. Chairman of the NSU Board of Trustees Javed Muneer Ahmad spoke as the guest of honour at the event and Board Member Seema Ahmad as the special guest.

Editor of The Daily Observer Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury was the chief guest on the occasion, Javed Munir Ahmed, Chairman of NSU Board of Trustees was the guest of honour. The special guest was Mrs. Sheema Ahmed, member of NSU Board of Trustees. The function was presided over by NSU Treasurer and Vice-Chancellor (Acting) Professor Abdur Rab Khan.
- ItemOpen Accessসামার -২০২৪ ওরিয়েন্টেশন নবীনদের স্বাগত জানালো এন এস ইউ(সংবাদ, 2024-07-11) সংবাদনর্থ সাউথ ইউনিভার্সিটি সামার সেমিস্টার-২০২৪ ওরিয়েন্টেশন অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করেছে। নবীন শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য এই সেমিস্টারভিত্তিক ওরিয়েন্টেশন প্রোগ্রাম উলেস্নখযোগ্য একটি অনুষ্ঠান। এই অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সংস্কৃতি এবং একাডেমিক পদ্ধতির সঙ্গে নবীন শিক্ষার্থীদের পরিচয় করিয়ে দেওয়া হয়। অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি ছিলেন দ্য ডেইলি অবজারভারের সম্পাদক ইকবাল সোবহান চৌধুরী, সম্মানিত অতিথি ছিলেন- এনএসইউ বোর্ড অব ট্রাস্টিজের চেয়ারম্যান জাভেদ মুনির আহমেদ। বিশেষ অতিথি ছিলেন- এনএসইউ বোর্ড অব ট্রাস্টিজের সদস্য মিসেস শীমা আহমেদ। অনুষ্ঠানে সভাপতিত্ব করেন- এনএসইউ কোষাধ্যক্ষ ও উপ-উপাচার্য (ভারপ্রাপ্ত) অধ্যাপক আবদুর রব খান।

- ItemOpen AccessNSU holds convocation _ Private educational institutions urged to put service over profit-seeking(Financial Express, 1996-12-19) The Financial ExpressThe convocation ceremony of the first batch of North South University, the pioneering private university of the country, was held on Wednesday at the Army Stadium in Dhaka. President and Chancellor of the University Justice Sahabuddin Ahmed called upon the students to become good citizens and characters to contribute to the development of the country. Founder President of North South University Musleh Uddin Ahmed delivered the welcome address. Chairman of Board of Governance MA Awal, University of Southern Indiana President H. Ray Hoopes also spoke on the occasion.
